His Excellencies, Foreign Ministers:

United States of America, Great Britain, Germany, France, China, Russia,

Via respective representatives in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Your Excellencies,

This letter is presented to you in connection with your current negotiations with the representatives of the Islamic Republic in Iran regarding the JCPOA nuclear agreement.

My name is Ms. Mahboubeh Hosseinpour, sister of late Dr. Ardeshir Hosseinpour, an Iranian nuclear scientist who was murdered on January 16, 2007, by Iranian intelligence agents at his home on the campus of Shiraz University for refusing to cooperate in a weapons-grade uranium enrichment program.

About 12 years before this crime, Dr. Mohammad Reza Saadat, a nuclear scientist and supervisor of Dr. Hosseinpour at Shiraz University, was also killed in the same manner due to non-cooperation with the Iranian regime’s nuclear program at his home in Shiraz, and his killer has never been brought to justice!

Based on available evidence both crimes were carried out by Islamic State agents, although no institution or official in Iran claimed responsibility for the heinous crimes but instead blamed the Israeli government. My late brother, Dr. Hosseinpour, had always complained about being pressured by government officials and their continued insistence on his cooperation in a high-concentration uranium enrichment program.

In addition to the above-mentioned facts and relying on personal information based on my brother’s testimony, I would like to briefly share the following with regards to the Islamic Republic’s plans and goals of acquiring a deadly nuclear weapon:

  • Mohammad Reza Saadat, an associate professor at the Physics Department of the Shiraz university was the supervisor of my brother Ardeshir Hosseinpour’s master’s thesis, and a year before his assassination, they had many scientific and personal consultations with each other. It was during this relationship that this trusted student became aware of the pressures exerted on his mentor by the government agents.
  • From 2004, regime security officials began pressuring Dr. Hosseinpour to co-operate in the high-concentration uranium enrichment program. He was offered promises and attractive incentives, but Dr. Hosseinpour refused to accept these offers and eventually fell victim to the regime’s successful assassination attempt.
  • There is no doubt that the enrichment program of the Islamic Republic and its other efforts in this field are only for the acquisition of nuclear weapons, and the efforts of your respective governments are aimed at preventing the spread of this destructive weapon, particularly since the Islamic Republic, an ideological establishment has shown that it is not a responsible government and arming it with a nuclear weapon could have catastrophic consequences on a global scale.

For the above brief reasons and in the name of humanity, I beg of you not to trust the regime that has always been engaged in war, killings, and creating unrest on a large scale since its fruition, and to support the oppressed people of Iran so we the Iranian people can install a responsible government which shall adhere to the principles of international mutual respect.

Furthermore, I volunteer to provide more details of personal information on the matter if requested.

Finally, I thank you for your attention and wish you a happy and peaceful New Year 2022.

Respectfully,

M. Hosseinpour
