Further, “During a joint call with U.S. President Donald Trump, the United Arab Emirates and Israel said they would work towards normalized relations in exchange for a halt in Israeli annexation of Palestinian land,” reported the National.
Mike Pompeo has, recently, visited Israel, Sudan, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on his tour that Washington aims at building on this month’s U.S.-brokered normalization deal between Jerusalem and Abu Dhabi.
“Meetings in Sudan and Bahrain do not yield breakthroughs,” claimed The Times of Israel.
Meetings carried out, building regional peace, and discussing the security issues presented by the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) in the region as tensions escalated dramatically in recent years following the regional malicious activities by Tehran.
In February, Pompeo also had met senior authorities of Oman and Saudi Arabia after spent three days in Africa, visiting leaders of Senegal, Angola, and Ethiopia.
Previously, in 2018, the late Sultan Qaboos met Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu in Muscat, the first visit by an Israeli leader to Oman — has close ties with Iran and Saudi Arabia — in more than 20 years.
IRI officials have shown no mercy to the American-brokered normalization and denounced the deal as New Spokesperson of Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh said the normalization of UAE’s ties with Israel was ‘Big Mistake.’ “The UAE has made a big mistake and we hope it will correct its behavior,” he added.
The so-called moderate Hassan Rouhani also decried the deal as a ‘huge mistake.’
The IRI’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the peace-deal “unacceptable’, called it a ‘theatre.’
‘Mullah the Great’ Ali Khamenei also said “normalization between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv served to galvanize regional people against the occupying regime further, thus bringing its ultimate disintegration closer,” described it a “threat.”
